Friendship Heights Residence
The thoughtful expansion of this Dutch Colonial home seamlessly blends with the original structure and made the house function for a young family. A seemingly modest 6-foot expansion of the entire two-story rear of the home allowed for a new kitchen, master bath, larger living room, library nook, and mudroom. The lines between original and modern blur with carefully matched cedar siding on the exterior and interior finish choices like black and white inlaid bathroom floors, handmade subway tile, and a careful blend of old and new solid wood floors.
