CMG to Convert Historic Jensen Brake Shop Into Graphic Design Studio

Washington, DC. October 8, 2007. Construction Management Group (CMG) was selected from a field of competitors to convert the iconic Jensen Brake Shop building at 1333 14th Street, NW into the stunning new graphic design studios for Fathom Creative. With offices in Washington, DC and New York City, Fathom Creative’s scope of work for this project requires the sophisticated, yet challenging, merger of contemporary elegance with the space’s historic exterior and interior urban edginess. “CMG is thrilled to have been selected by Fathom Creative’s leadership team, Drew Mitchell and Bill Fischer, to work on this exciting new design project,” said Ken Sugarman, CMG’s managing principal. “We’ve worked closely with Drew and Bill for several months on this project and have built an amazing working relationship with them. We have tremendous experience with historic structures in DC and we can’t wait to break ground on this dynamic project to turn their dramatic vision into reality.” Working with Lawson Architecture, the project’s base architecture team, and with OPX Architecture, who will be handling the project’s interior design elements, CMG plans to start construction in late November 2007.Based in Washington, DC, CMG is a full service commercial and residential construction services firm that specializes in high-end construction projects throughout the Washington-Baltimore metropolitan region.
